SailGP Leaderboard After 6 Events
The European leg of SailGP Season 2 is over and the leaderboard is tight at the top. Heading into the Australia Sail Grand Prix, to be hosted in Sydney, the Australia SailGP Team are on top of the leaderboard, and look likely to once again be a part of the winner-takes-all final. Whether they will be able to claim back to back SailGP Championships remains to be seen.
The United States and Japan are close behind, trailing by a single point, and Great Britain remains in striking distance only 5 points back. The end of SailGP Season 2 is set up for an exciting finale with any of the top four a realistic chance to take out the championship and claim national glory and a $1 million prize.
If you've missed any of the Season 2 events, you'll definitely want to catch-up on all the highlights. We've been treated to new speed records, plenty of capsizes and collisions, and some of the world's most competitive and world class sailing.
